Reptiles

Reptiles are a diverse group of animals that are known for their scaly skin and cold-blooded metabolism. They are found in nearly every corner of the world, from tropical rainforests to arid deserts. Reptiles include snakes, lizards, turtles, crocodiles, and alligators, among others. One of the key features that define reptiles is their ability to regulate their body temperature through external means, such as basking in the sun or retreating to the shade. Many reptiles also have unique adaptations, such as the ability to change color or detach their tail as a defense mechanism. While some reptile species are dangerous to humans, such as venomous snakes, they also play important roles in their ecosystems as predators and prey. Despite their sometimes fearsome reputation, reptiles are fascinating and important members of the animal kingdom.
